High-Performance Stationary Asphalt Drum Mix Plants

At Kaushik Engineering Works (KEW), we engineer generic concepts into high-performing reality. As one of the leading asphalt drum mix plant manufacturers in India, we offer the KEW Series, fully automatic, stationary plants designed for superior fuel efficiency and trouble-free performance.

Our plants are strictly compliant with the latest M.O.R.T.H. (Ministry of Road Transport and Highways) specifications. Whether for highways, runways, or rural development, our asphalt mixing plant solutions ensure you achieve precisely mixed quality asphalt, productively and profitably.

Key Highlights:

  • Capacity: Available in models from 35 to 150 TPH
  • Suitability: Ideal heavy-duty road construction plant for Indian conditions
  • Technology: Advanced process controls with fail-proof interlocks
  • Customisation: Tailored solutions to meet specific site demands

(Note: Higher capacity plants are available on specific enquiry.)

Asphalt Drum Mix Plant Standard Configuration

Our asphalt production equipment is built with precision engineering to ensure low maintenance and high uptime. Below is the standard configuration and component breakdown of our hot mix asphalt plant:

Thermo Drum Unit

The drying and mixing unit demands complex flight design and heat transfer technology. The KEW thermodrum utilises a triple heat transfer system (conductive, convective, and radiation), ensuring total heat transfer to aggregates. This design guarantees:

  • Higher productivity with lower fuel consumption
  • Thorough mixing and coating
  • Prevention of bitumen oxidation
Drum Mechanics

For the 30-120 TPH models, we provide a low-maintenance cradle-type drum drive. The auto-lubrication system ensures long life for the chain drive.

  • Standard: Cradle-type drive
  • Optional: Four-wheel friction drive (Standard on 120 TPH+ models)
  • Specially treated sprockets and trunnion rollers ensure flawless drum rotation
Cold Aggregate Bin Feeder

Our modular, all-welded bins feature steep walls to allow free flow of aggregates, preventing bridging even with sticky materials. Equipped with adjustable, calibrated gate openings and variable speed drives, they offer proportional control, making us the preferred drum mix plant suppliers for complex projects.

Bitumen Heating Storage

We offer versatile storage solutions ranging from 10 to 50 tons.

  • Direct Heating: Supplied with automatic imported pressure jet burners
  • Indirect Heating: Supplied with a Japanese-design thermic oil heater
  • All tanks feature auto-thermostatic controls and are fully insulated to minimise heat loss.
Burner

Our high-pressure atomised, fully automatic burner is famous for its fuel efficiency and high uptime. It is compatible with LDO, Diesel, or FO. Features include:

  • Remote control system with flame failure detection
  • Electric spark ignition
  • Unique nozzle system allowing cleaning during running conditions (Zero Downtime)

We provide robust fuel storage tanks with capacities ranging from 300 Litres to 10,000 Litres, ensuring continuous operation for long shifts without frequent refuelling.

Filler Storage Unit

As an established asphalt plant manufacturer in India, KEW offers a wide range (1.5 – 50 tons) of filler storage and feeding solutions. A variable speed computerised synchronised metering system ensures the right proportioning in the mix, depending on your site requirements.

Oversize Removal Vibratory Screen

The KEW Series plants are supplied with oversize aggregate removal vibratory screens, positioned at the end of the cold aggregate feeder. Any oversized material, which could be detrimental to the heating and mixing thermodrum internals, is screened out to ensure safety and better performance.

Conveyors play a vital role in stationary asphalt drum mix plant operations. Designed for durability and precision, our Load Out and Slinger conveyors ensure the smooth transfer of asphalt mix, minimising waste and maximising productivity.

The Gob Hopper ensures accurate and controlled discharge of hot asphalt mix. Designed for reliability, it prevents material segregation while maintaining consistent flow into the dump trucks.

Control Cabin
Control Cabin

A fully computerised control cabin with an onboard electrical power control console is standard on our KEW series.

  • User-Friendly: No special skills required
  • Process Control: Fully automatic, semi-automatic, & manual operation
  • Data: Provisions to print, store, and edit production details
  • Safety: Fail-proof interlocks and online fault detection

Optional attachments of asphalt mixing plants like storage silos for mixed material, west dust collector/bag house filter unit for effective pollution control, bitumen heating, and storage tanks are provided to suit specific needs.

Storage Silo

We provide optional storage silos for mixed material to suit specific site needs. Unlike standard hoppers, these silos are fully insulated to maintain the temperature of the hot mix asphalt for extended periods, allowing for logistical flexibility and storage during peak construction hours.

Wet Type Dust Collector

To meet environmental standards, our CV Series high-efficiency wet dust collectors use a venturi-type design. Stainless steel spray nozzles provide clog-free operation with minimal water usage, effectively entrapping dust-laden exhaust gas.

Bag House Filter Unit

We have developed a state-of-the-art free air flow type bag house filter unit with specially treated meta-aramid filter elements. This zero-maintenance design keeps emissions below 50 mg/Nm³, meeting international pollution control norms.
